EMPIRE

A multiplayer colony-and-conquest game. Download the launcher once — it keeps your game up to date automatically.

Download the launcher

Unzip and run the launcher. It downloads & verifies the latest Empire client, then click Play. When a new version ships, the launcher updates the game for you — no need to come back here.

The launcher hands the client the server address automatically; you only need the shared password.

First-run security prompt (unsigned app)

These builds aren't notarized yet (no paid Apple Developer certificate), so your OS shows one extra step the first time. The app is safe — you just click through it once.

First launch on macOS (Sequoia)

  1. Download and unzip Empire Launcher; optionally move Empire Launcher.app to Applications. (If you've downloaded it a few times you may see "Empire Launcher 2/3" — just use the latest and delete the old copies.)
  2. Double-click it once. macOS blocks it with "Apple could not verify 'Empire Launcher' is free of malware…". Click Done.
  3. Open the Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section — you'll see "Empire Launcher was blocked from use…". Click Open Anyway.
  5. Click Open Anyway again to confirm, then enter your Mac login password.
  6. The launcher opens and macOS remembers it — future launches are a normal double-click.

Power-user shortcut (Terminal) that skips the prompt entirely:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Empire Launcher.app"  (adjust the path to wherever you put it).

First launch on Windows

If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More infoRun anyway.
